Lionel Kealii Chartrand, 66, of Hilo died Sept. 3 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Honolulu, He was co-owner of Chartrand Excavation, a truck driver for Jas. W. Glover and the former HT&T, classic car and motorcycle enthusiast and member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Visitation 4-9 p.m. Sunday (Oct. 2) at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Robert “Rusty” Kenichi Mishima, 89, of Hilo died Sept. 15 at Yukio Okutsu State Veterans Home. Born in Hilo, he was a retired heavy equipment salesman for the former Hawaiian Equipment Co., U.S. Army Korean War veteran, former member of Waiakea Lions Club and former volunteer driver for Meals on Wheels.
